After I leaving a career in graphic design and moving  to South Carolina, I started teaching my first classes at Redux Contemporary Art Center as a way to share my love and knowledge of drawing and painting with my new community. From that first experience my passion for education has since expanded to teaching students of all ages in a variety of techniques with a special interest in watercolor,  repurposed waste and natural mediums.

While in Charleston I worked as a teaching artist through several organizations including YoArt! and Engaging creative minds for districts throughout the Low Country. In 2019 I took full time position in the Charleston Country School district and became  an SC state certified art teacher. I am currently pursuing my MFA  and teaching 2D design at Western Carolina University. I truly enjoy sharing the skills I have acquired in my artist's journey and working with others to help them come into their creative potential.
