Mia Loia started her career in education, instructing watercolor classes to adults in 2017 at Redux Contemporary Art Center. She has since expanded to teaching students of all ages in a variety of techniques with a special interest in repurposed art and natural mediums. She is presently the visual arts teacher at Sanders-Clyde Creative Arts Elementary, but continues to run after-school programs, figure drawing and monthly watercolor workshops at Redux. She is currently working towards her certification in Education through the State of South Carolina.
